Welchen universit\u00e4ren Hintergrund haben Sie und wie haben Sie Ihren Weg in das StArfrica-Team gefunden?
<\/strong>Ich habe vor einer kleinen Ewigkeit angefangen, Lehramt in Koblenz zu studieren und habe parallel zum zweiten Staatsexamen mein Diplom in P\u00e4dagogik gemacht. Nachdem ich in Koblenz in Bildungswissenschaften promoviert habe, bin ich nach Kiel, um meinen Master in Schulmanagement und Qualit\u00e4tsentwicklung zu machen. Ich habe dann \u00a0als Lehrerin gearbeitet und bin seit Anfang 2019 als Transferstelle an der Uni Koblenz. Parallel habe ich noch einen MBA in Motorsportmanagement gemacht (daher der betriebswirtschaftliche Hintergrund) Da die Transferstelle eng mit dem ZIFET zusammenarbeitet, bin ich regelm\u00e4\u00dfig mit Herrn von Korflesch und Frau van der Beek in Kontakt. Herr von Korflesch hat mir dann unter anderem von dem StArfrica-Projekt erz\u00e4hlt und ich wollte mich gerne engagieren, also bin ich als wissenschaftliche Hilfskraft in das Projekt eingestiegen.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is your academic background\u00a0 and how did you find your way into the StArfrica team?<\/strong><\/em><\/span>
A small eternity ago I started studying to become a teacher in Koblenz and parallel to the second state examination I took my diploma in pedagogy. After completing my doctorate in educational science in Koblenz, I went to Kiel to do my master’s degree in school management and quality development. I then worked as a teacher and since the beginning of 2019 I have been working as a transfer student at the University of Koblenz. At the same time, I also did an MBA in Motorsport Management (hence the business management background). Since the Transfer Office works closely with ZIFET, I am in regular contact with Mr. von Korflesch and Ms. van der Beek. Mr. von Korflesch then told me about the StArfrica project, among other things, and I wanted to get involved, so I joined the project as a research assistant.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Seit wann sind Sie dabei, was sind Ihre Aufgaben und welche Erfahrungen bringen Sie mit?<\/strong><\/span>
Ich bin seit dem 1. Juni offiziell dabei, habe aber den Start des Projektes von Anfang an mitverfolgt. Ich bringe zum einen den betriebswirtschaftlichen Hintergrund mit und zum anderen auch den p\u00e4dagogischen. Ich bin zust\u00e4ndig f\u00fcr die Nachhaltigkeit des Projektes, vor allem f\u00fcr die Einwerbung von finanziellen Mitteln. Zum Beispiel geh\u00f6rt es zu meinem Aufgabengebiet, ein Fundraising-Konzept auszuarbeiten.<\/span><\/p>\n

When did you join the project, what are your tasks and what experience do you bring with you?<\/strong><\/em><\/span>
I have been officially involved since June 1, but I have followed the start of the project from the beginning. On the one hand, I have a business background and on the other hand I also have a pedagogical one. I am responsible for the sustainability of the project, especially for raising funds. For example, one of my tasks is to develop a fundraising concept.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Wie hat das Pilotvorhaben Ihr Interesse geweckt? Was ist Ihre Motivation, daran teilzuhaben?
<\/strong>Als Prof. Korflesch mir davon erz\u00e4hlte, gefiel mir das Projekt inhaltlich sehr gut, vor allem die Metapher der Br\u00fccke und was sie bewirken kann. Ich fand StArfrica als Projekt so interessant und zielstrebig, dass ich das nicht nur von au\u00dfen beobachten sondern auch selbst daran teilhaben wollte.<\/span><\/p>\n

How did the pilot project arouse your interest? What is your motivation to take part in it?<\/strong><\/em><\/span>
When Prof. Korflesch told me about it, I liked the content of the project very much, especially the metaphor of the bridge and what it can achieve. I found StArfrica as a project so interesting and purposeful that I not only wanted to observe it from the outside but also to participate in it myself.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Was verbinden Sie mit Ruanda? Waren Sie schon einmal in dort? Wenn ja, welche Erfahrungen haben Sie gemacht? Was hat Sie \u00fcberrascht\/erschreckt\/begeistert? Falls nicht: Haben Sie vor, nach Ruanda zu reisen und wenn ja, was erhoffen Sie sich? Was zieht Sie an, was sind Ihre Erwartungen?
<\/strong>Ich war schon sehr viel in Afrika unterwegs, doch Ruanda ist eins der wenigen L\u00e4nder, die ich noch nicht bereist habe. Ich w\u00fcrde aber sehr gerne mal hin, da Afrika vielf\u00e4ltig spannend ist, nicht nur landschaftlich gesehen, sondern auch die Kultur und die Menschen.<\/span><\/p>\n

What do you associate with Rwanda? Have you ever been there? If so, what experiences have you had there? What surprised\/frightened\/enthused you? If not: Do you plan to travel to Rwanda and if so, what do you hope to achieve? What attracts you, what are your expectations?<\/strong><\/em><\/span>
I have traveled a lot in Africa, but Rwanda is one of the few countries I have not yet visited. I would love to go there because Africa is exciting in many ways, not only the landscape, but also the culture and the people.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Welchen Erfolg w\u00fcnschen Sie sich f\u00fcr das Projekt StArfrica?
<\/strong>Ich w\u00fcnsche mir, dass wir in vier Jahren die Indikatoren geschafft haben, die wir angegeben haben. Ich sehe es aber wirklich als Pilotvorhaben und w\u00fcrde mir deshalb w\u00fcnschen, dass es ausgeweitet wird auf andere afrikanische Staaten und dass man es damit auch irgendwie schafft, in Ruanda ein Cluster zu erstellen, einerseits mit diesem Br\u00fcckencharakter\u00a0und der Verbindung nach Deutschland,\u00a0andererseits\u00a0mit der Wirtschaft vor Ort.<\/span><\/p>\n

What success do you wish for the StArfrica project?
<\/strong>I hope that in four years we will have achieved the indicators we have set. But I really do see it as a pilot project and would therefore like to see it extended to other African countries and that it somehow manages to create a cluster in Rwanda, on the one hand with this bridge character and the connection to Germany, on the other hand with the local economy.
