The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) is advocating for a start-up-related continental bridge between Germany and Africa with the project “StArfrica – Startup Germany-Africa”. The project’s primary objective is to expand start-up support from science on a mutually beneficial basis as a pilot between the University of Rwanda in Kigali and the ZIFET at the University of Koblenz. However, upon the successful pilot in Rwanda, the project is now expanded to Ghana and Tanzania, and opens up to more African Higher Education Institutions.
