And… Scene! See You in Helsinki, 2027

The ICAME47 closing ceremony took place today, bringing a rich week of plenaries, presentations, posters, and corridor conversations to a close. Our warmest thanks to everyone who made it happen — the speakers and participants who filled the rooms with ideas, the workshop organisers, the student volunteers, and everyone behind the scenes who kept things running. We hope you’re heading home with new collaborations, new questions, and a few good memories.

The conference ended on an exciting note: ICAME48 will be hosted by the University of Helsinki on 18–22 May 2027, with the theme “The Times They Are A-Changin’“. Plenaries will be given by Axel Bohmann (University of Cologne), Tuomo Hiippala (University of Helsinki), Susan Hunston (University of Birmingham), and Merja Stenroos (University of Stavanger). The call for papers opens in June 2026, with abstract submissions due 1 December 2026.
