Shaping the future
KeyComp4Practices@UR
01.07.2021 – 31.12.2024
Our Objectives
1. Close the gap between the more theoretically higher education and the more practice-oriented labor market
2. Prepare students for the labor market as well as for academia
3. Improve exchange between business and science
Project Overview
Together with our partner, the College of Business and Economics at the University of Rwanda, we will establish a Competence Center for Studies, Research, and Profession (CSRP Rwanda). Within the Competence Center there will be workshops for students, Ph.D. candidates and lecturers of the UR. In particular, through the participation and training of UR lecturers, we would like to empower them in the long term to conduct the courses for students independently.
In addition, we will establish a broad network between business and science. The aim is to improve cooperation in order to understand the needs of business partners and universities for better collaboration. To this end, business and science partners will participate in regular exchange events. In addition, the business partners offer students the opportunity to complete an internship and gain initial work experience.
There will also be exchanges between Rwandan and German scientists for joint research work.
The workshops focus on several topics, including general key competences (project management, communication, etc.), preparation for internships, application training, women empowerment, scientific work and writing, and the transfer of ideas.
