Welcome!
Thank you very much for your interest. Here we present our activities in the context of our teaching at the University of Koblenz in the area of Computational Social Sciences. We are an interdisciplinary team of researchers from university and non-university institutions.

Our research can be divided into three main areas, which often overlap:
AI for and in CSS
A large part of our research deals with AI for data science approaches in CSS or with AI in CSS, e.g. the use of AI in society and education as well as its critical reflection.
Data science for CSS
This area is not only about big data analysis (big data), linked data and workflows, e.g. for geographical or temporal data, but also about embedding them in social science theory building and experiments.
Complex Networks
This area includes social and historical network analysis, knowledge graphs, ontologies, but also data links and the analysis of networks using algorithms, AI and visualization.
