Ich studiere Wirtschaftsinformatik im zweiten Semester und den Weg ins Team habe ich durch die Stellenausschreibung gefunden.
What is your academic background and how did you find your way into the StArfrica team?
I am studying business informatics in my second semester and I found my way into the team through the job advertisement.
Seit wann sind Sie dabei, was sind Ihre Aufgaben und welche Erfahrungen bringen Sie mit?
Ich bin seit Start des Projektes dabei und meine Aufgabe ist das Erstellen des Blogs und der Website mit WordPress. Da ich erst im zweiten Semester studiere, möchte ich die Arbeit im Projekt nutzen, um Erfahrungen zu sammeln.
When did you join the project, what are your tasks and what experience do you bring with you?
I have been with StArfrica since the project started and my task is to create the blog and the website with WordPress. As I am only in my second semester of study, I would like to use the work in the project to gain experience.
Wie hat das Pilotvorhaben Ihr Interesse geweckt? Was ist Ihre Motivation, daran teilzuhaben?
Es gibt mehrere Gründe für meine Bewerbung. Zum einen finde ich alles rund um das Thema Entrepreneurship interessant, was ich letztes Semester in der Einführung in die BWL kennengelernt habe. Jetzt habe ich die Möglichkeit, mich praktisch mit dem Thema zu befassen. Zum anderen hat es mich motiviert, bei StArfrica mitzuwirken, da es ein internationales Projekt ist. In der Schule hatte ich zwei Sprachen als Leistungskurse und habe mich schon immer dafür interessiert.
How did the pilot project arouse your interest? What is your motivation to take part in it?
There are several reasons for my application. For one, I find everything about entrepreneurship interesting that I got to know last semester in the Introduction to Business Administration. Now I have the opportunity to deal with the topic practically. On the other hand, it motivated me to work at StArfrica because it is an international project. In school I had two languages as advanced courses and I have always been interested in them.
Was verbinden Sie mit Ruanda? Waren Sie schon einmal in dort? Wenn ja, welche Erfahrungen haben Sie gemacht? Was hat Sie überrascht/erschreckt/begeistert? Falls nicht: Haben Sie vor, nach Ruanda zu reisen und wenn ja, was erhoffen Sie sich? Was zieht Sie an, was sind Ihre Erwartungen?
Ich war noch nicht in Ruanda, es würde mich aber faszinieren, einmal hinzureisen, da ich noch nie außerhalb Europas war und mir Afrika wie eine ganz andere Welt vorstelle.
What do you associate with Rwanda? Have you ever been there? If so, what experiences have you had there? What surprised/frightened/enthused you? If not: Do you plan to travel to Rwanda and if so, what do you hope to achieve? What attracts you, what are your expectations?
I haven’t been to Rwanda yet, but it would fascinate me to go there sometime, because I have never been outside Europe and I imagine Africa as a completely different world.
Welchen Erfolg wünschen Sie sich für das Projekt StArfrica?
Ich wünsche mir, dass das Projekt seine Ziele erfüllen kann, dass der Austausch im Fokus steht und im Endeffekt alle, die am Projekt teilhaben, einen Nutzen aus dem Projekt ziehen können.
What success do you wish for the StArfrica project?
I hope that the project will be able to fulfill its goals, that the focus will be on exchange and that, in the end, everyone who participates in the project will be able to benefit from the project.
